Ubisoft confirms that a brand new update is now available for download for the PC and PS4 versions of Assassin’s Creed Unity, bringing forth quite a few fixes for actual gameplay problems, including situations where protagonist Arno would get stuck in certain objects or fall through the world.

Assassin’s Creed Unity was one of the most anticipated games of this fall, with millions of franchise fans eager to see just how Ubisoft overhauls the franchise for better control and more impressive visuals. Unfortunately for them, the actual result is a lackluster experience, as the overhauled exploration or stealth systems are problematic while the actual visuals are marred by issues with the framerate on consoles and with certain settings on the PC.
Since its release at the beginning of the week, Ubisoft pledged to start improving the game and has so far released a few small updates, including one that dealt just with the controversial microtransactions in the open world game.Assassin’s Creed Unity patch 1.02 is now available on PC and PS4
Now, an actual gameplay update is available for download on both the PC as well as on the PS4 platforms. The patch is designed to fix quite a lot of issues regarding the behavior of protagonist Arno when in the game world.
According to the announcement from Ubisoft, Arno was falling through the ground when free running on certain objects or falling on top of other characters, and he was also getting stuck in a hay cart next to the Pantheon in Paris.
What’s more, a crash that happened when players joined the co-op match of a friend who had completed certain missions is also eliminated by the update.PC-specific problems were also solved
While the aforementioned issues have been solved on both platforms, the Unity patch 1.02 also brings a series of improvements just for the PC edition, including better performance on lower-spec PCs, less issues when running it via Nvidia SLI or AMD CrossFire configurations, and fixes for certain graphics issues and control issues when using the keyboard and mouse.
Bear in mind that Ubisoft emphasizes that some problems will persist, including those relating to the framerate and other such things, as a solution for those is harder to find right now. As such, expect to see more updates appear for Assassin’s Creed Unity in the near future.
As of yet, it’s unclear when the new patch 1.02 will appear on the Xbox One platform, as Ubisoft hasn’t offered a time frame for it.
Ubisoft has today released a new update for Assassin’s Creed: Unity on PS4 and Xbox One with the aim of fixing a few niggling bugs that have players itching in annoyance.
The patch, which began rolling out today on consoles and is due out tomorrow on PC, also aims to make online play with your mates less of a chore as well as a couple of issues within the Dead Kings DLC.
The latest patch also gives all players access to previously locked content that was only available to players with the downloadable smartphone app.

Hopefully this latest patch will improve your experience with Assassin’s Creed: Unity. It’s a decent entry in the series and it’s just a shame that the franchise has had such a bad mark put against it due to the issues surrounding the performance side of the game.
